The Count of Monte Cristo
Alexandre Dumas

"Finally finished this behemoth of a book!
The Count of Monte Cristo is definitely a must read classic, a revenge story that is very straight forward but at the same time enjoyable to read.
The book can feel unnecessarily longer than it should be, but that should be expected since it was originally published as a weekly serial in a newspaper.
Overall a solid book, that I finally read after hearing so much about it."

Assassin's Apprentice
The Farseer Trilogy #1

"This book reminded me of my interest in reading classical fantasy. Really loved the prose and the writing of Robin Hobb. The characters were pretty well written and even though the plot pace might feel slow to some people, it felt like living in that world through Fitz's eyes to me.
And the good thing is that there is so much of the Realm of the Elderlings left to explore!"

Red Rising
Red Rising Saga #1

"This one somewhat felt like watching an anime. It was enjoyable but I kind of wanted more depth. A lot of time it felt like reading about emo kids XD. But it was just the introduction. I do expect to like the next book even more."

The Alloy of Law
Mistborn #4
Brandon Sanderson

"A 300 year gap and a fresh start to a new era in the world of Scadrial. This book didn't have as high stakes as the first trilogy but it was a good enjoyable read. Felt like watching a tv show about lawmen. The banter between Wax and Wayne was fun."

A Short Stay In Hell
Steven L. Peck

"Just recently, I found a website emulating The Library of Babel as envisioned by Borges and then a couple of weeks after that I found this book. What a coincidence.
The existential and philosophical aspects of the book are good but the execution could have been better.
Not really my favorite genre but it was a good short read."

The Hero of Ages
Mistborn #3
Brandon Sanderson
▶ Jun 2026 ■ Jun 2026

"Era 1 finally completed!
The Hero of Ages is a very fulfilling conclusion to the trilogy.
Finally got to experience the 'Sanderlanche' that I have heard about so much!"

And Then There Were None
Agatha Christie

"The premise being based on the poem was good. But the ending was very abrupt. There were no clues, which are needed to make an ending feel like it was all in sight but not clear. Instead the ending felt that it came out of nowhere."
